Re: 2015 Grand National
Took 10's on Rocky Creek about 2 weeks ago. Probably worth avoiding then as I haven't had the national winner since Comply or Die in 2008

Re: 2015 Grand National
haha!

The TRENDS sites I've used in the past haven't limited it to 10 years, but thinking about it, uts probably a decent idea considering the way this - and some races at Cheltenham - have changed. So I'm just going to be lazy and have a bash at the 5 in that article. Some big prices there too

Re: 2015 Grand National
Ha... I'm STILL happy with my ante post 20/1 Balz' King ... not so much my Unioniste 25/1... I'm pretty sure he ain't going to get round

Re: 2015 Grand National
Do trends ever include trainers or jockey's who have never won the race?

I thought Balthazar looked ok myself, but then saw Hobbs has never won the race in 25 years.

I know only so many can win it, but amazingly I don't think he's had many placed either.

Has Dicky Johnson won it himself for another trainer??

I'll be happy if it's carnage (with no casualties) like the Irish one yesterday, that was like a National of old and top drawer from Katie. Great viewing if you hadn't backed anything like me, or a massive fucker if you went at the first and done your bollocks!

Re: 2015 Grand National
Was at Irish National y'day beside final fence as my 7yo loves watching the chases near the fences. I also have to record it on my phone. Got a great clip of Ruby coming back on Perfect Gentleman. He had already pulled up at that stage & was galloping back between the final fence & the rails. He was standing up in his irons & was straining to see the finish on the big screen & shouted: Go on Katie!! when she won & punched the air with his whip hand.

BTW have a friend who has a retarded brother & Ruby Walsh calls to visit him regularly at his home & always makes time for him when he sees him at the races.

Re: 2015 Grand National
I used always rule out any horse that had run at that years Cheltenham festival as thought it was too much to expect a horse to run at both as they would almost certainly have run in one of the longer races at Cheltenham & would then have to run over the national trip @ Aintree.
However, there is an extra wk between the meetings this yr.

Re: 2015 Grand National
Stewie, I'm 50/50 with it tbh, actually no point going on that site, as the 80% plus ones, I've listed above - think most are similar to the 10 year ones?

Last 8 out of 10, no headgear (might use that one, if there's still more than a few left at the end of it all)
